I had the opportunity to sit down and talk with my homie Kendrick Lamar. We spoke on quite a few topics including the direction of his new album good kid, m.a.a.d. city, watching the growth of Ab-Soul and Schoolboy Q, the 2012 BET cypher, the new Cali sound, he also tells the story of the song “Compton” (he reveals it was the first song he ever recorded with Dr. Dre), why there was never a music video for “The Recipe”, his “accent” he uses on a lot of his records, and much more!
