Oh baby! Wiz and Amber make their cover debut on the October/November issue of XXL. Below are excerpts from the expecting couple. The due date for the issue is October 9.
Wiz On Recording His New Album With Amber At Home:
“I just gotta do it. The most important thing is knowing that she is there and I have to tend to my babies. This is my first child ever in life. I gotta go hard at everything. As hard as I go in the studio, I gotta go just as hard taking care of my baby and making sure she’s alright, and I’m spending time with her and she doesn’t feel neglected.”
Amber On Giving Birth:
“I’m so ready. I’m going all-natural. I’ve decided that I’m going to have an all-natural water birth. No medicine. I want those bragging rights! The next time Wiz has a stomachache or anything, I’ll say, ‘I popped out a baby all-natural.’”

Congratulations are in order. The homie Rittz has signed with Strange Music. This is something that I had a feeling was going to happen. I can’t wait to see the result of this signing! A lot of incredible music will be made. Congrats Rittz!

For the record I have heard most of this project with Travis, and the shit is incredible. Can’t wait for the world to hear it.
Although plans to start his Sophomore album Love Story have been delayed, Yela’s still been hard at work. On top of making up the shows he had to cancel after rupturing his spleen in March, he’s shot an 11-minute “horror film” for the track Growin’ Up in the Gutter and completed a 5-track EP with drummer Travis Barker entitled Psycho White. Sitting down with Billboard, Yela had the following to say.
Every time we would get in the lab we’d knock something out. We just collaborated and… had a meeting of the minds. There’s a lot of cool stuff we came up with. I don’t know Travis’ situation fully, the legals of it, whether it’s going to be free or sold or whatever. It’ll be available. As artists, hopefully we can get it on the shelves, but we’ll get it out there somehow. I’m just hyped for people to hear it.
He also gave an update on his collaborative project with Big K.R.I.T., being dubbed Country Cousins.
It’s been like a two-year thing, man; I’m busy, he’s busy, and it doesn’t get done. We know that when we get together, it can’t be half-assed. That’s my homey for life, so it could go down at any moment. There’s no definite date, no definite time. I’m such a huge fan of his. I really want to do music with him, so I know it’ll happen.

Alongside Mayor Michael Nutter, Jay-Z announced his Budweiser Made In America music festival this morning in front of the Philadelphia Art Museum. The two-day festival will feature 28 musical acts of all genres including Hov headlining the event.
The festival will be held September 1 and 2 at Philly’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Fairmount Park. Tickets go on sale May 23 with proceeds going towards the United Way.

The G.O.O.D. Music family just got a new member. It looks like Kanye West has signed Teyana Taylor and she will be releasing her debut album on the label later this year. More details on the album and first single will be revealed in the coming weeks. Back in March, she dropped her mixtape “The Misunderstanding Of Teyana Taylor” with features from Jadakiss, Fabolous, Wale and more.
